Bei den Schlafsäckchen mit den Bändchen wäre es besser die würden noch mehr verschlossen in der mitte sonst sieht man das Baby dadurch weil es dort offen ist!

Lucy your story moved me to floods of tears. I visited your site to be able to knit things for you. I cannot even begin to understand how awful it was for your family, I say family because it is the whole family that suffers isn't.
I used to work in SCBU in Cambridge and I am so so glad that the way things are handled now is completely different. ai used to go off duty and cry my eyes out.So much sorrow and afterwards there was nothing for the parents but to go home alone. None of the things
you are offering not even a funeral sometimes.
I will endevour to make you lots of things in memory of those we lost and I cried for along with their heart broken famlies.
sometimes a grand parent would creep back in alone and I would find them sitting in the rocking chair weeping, how to support their daughter?son, what do I say? a difficult one to answer for me. I would tell them to say what was in their heart. In those those days parents were not encouraged to hold SB babies, I broke the rules many a times and was always on the red carpet for it, they couldnt sack me for it. I just know it helped so I did it when asked.

Such a sad story, hold onto your precious memories. We lost my nephew to SIDS at 7m old, and I raced down to support my sister while she dealt with the police and all the questions. The police asked us to put Aden in a basket and then they left him in another room all alone while they went through the questioning. This was so hard that they just discarded him while they did their job so my sister asked if I could hold him in the other room through the interviews. I remember wrapping him up tight in his quilt and wishing I could make him warm again, and my sister was glad to find me cuddling him when she was able to return. I wish that the police would be more thoughtful in these cases...
